	Lakeshore Aviation News Lakeshore Aviation gains 135 Air Charter License In its ongoing efforts to expand business at the Manitowoc County Airport, Lakeshore Aviation has announced the addition of Air Charter to its lineup of services. Lakeshore Aviation will conduct Air Charter operations with their Piper Seneca II, a twin-engine piston aircraft. Fully equipped for a variety of weather and flight conditions, the plane features the latest in color GPS navigation. The plane offers business-class seating for 3-4 passengers, as well as air freight and cargo. Its cruise speed is just under 200MPH, making short work of trips in the Midwest. Its non-stop range is between 500 and 700 miles, depending on winds and load. First flights are due to begin the week of October 26th. The format will likely be a number of evening classroom sessions on various IFR topics, followed by a weekend "crash" course designed to prep you for the written exam. Classes will probably begin after the holidays. Instructors will include Lakeshore Aviation's Curt Drumm and Leon Sigman, along with long-time pilot examiner Jim Cotter. Experienced ground school prep instructor Wanda Zeuge will present the weekend course. Cost of the class has not been determined yet, but will be reasonable.
